CAMHS Back to School Resource Pack for Parents - Download
Dear Parents and Students,
All of the staff are very impressed at the way our students coped with the 'lock down'. We are now preparing to see our Y11 students move on and welcome others back to our school site.
We will leave the 2 pages of information 'live' for the time being so that you can refer to them if you need to.
If you are still looking for activities and websites to support well being and learning please do look at the newsletters we have been producing weekly.
Jo Ashworth and SPC staff
Do I have to be doing school work all the time I am not a school? Not really - NO!!!!
This is a really tricky time for the whole world It's time we think about our priorities. What is really important to you?
As a School leader I will be making sure the staff do provide you meaningful learning activities you can do during this time. HOWEVER - you need to balance off work and life! Some activities set are more suitable for carrying out with younger siblings, some may lead to a debate with adults who you live with.
This time is an opportunity to do things you never have time to do! Read a book, tidy under your bed, talk to people on FaceTime/skype/text or email, learn a new skill, and many other things!
At SPC we are using google classrooms to post a variety of work students can access. If you are a student/parent and having trouble logging on please do let staff know during your contact calls or by email or text. We want to help you!
FULL DISCLOSURE!!! Not all staff at SPC are super tech savvy!! We are trying some new ways of getting work to you - we need your feedback. So once again - please do reach out if you think you can help us learn! However - we can advise you to watch out for 'in app' purchases. For any of the apps we suggest you should only need to free version.
The most important thing you can do is STAY SAFE. Keep on WASHING YOUR HANDS and STAY AT HOME. Everyone has had advice on staying physically and emotionally safe and students have various numbers of people who can help them. Sadly it's mostly remote support, but if you want a FaceTime group chat - just ask - we can all learn together!
Take care and stay safe
